Rilke in Red—Publication
Inspired by a nineteenth-century text on the making of art, Rilke in Red is a curated publication that weaves together personal artifacts—sketchbook drawings, foundational design exercises, and early photographs—to reflect on the evolution of artistic process. The project explores how past work can be recontextualized into a cohesive visual narrative through thoughtful sequencing and composition.
Together, these artifacts form a visual archive of process and progression. A recurring motif—a flash of red—appears unexpectedly across the spreads, serving as a symbolic device to emphasize moments of insight, interruption, or emotional charge. The resulting publication explores how memory, experimentation, and formal study intertwine to shape one’s creative language.
